I have done it this way for a long time and have not lost a pup... I am always looking for ways to save money. Grin

At 2 wks I worm pups and mom with strongid paste and do it every week until 8 wks and then as needed maybe once a month until 5 months old.
The dam is back to grown dog schedule when pups are weaned off of her.

At 7 or 8 wks I give a 7 in 1 plus corona shot under the skin. This shot should be called 8 in 1 because of the corona in it. Whatever you do make sure it has corona in it or you will lose some pups...

Give a second shot of the same 3 to 4 weeks later. I have also given 1 shot and it has worked but it was with pups I wanted to experiment on that I really didn't need and they were ok.

At 4 to 5 months you can take the pups to the vet for their rabies shots if you live in Texas because that is the law here. Other states may let you give the rabies yourself.

After the rabies shot you are about finished with the routines and can more or less follow the grown dog routines with the exceptin that you want to worm them any time they don't look 100% healthy. You want to keep the pups parasite free so that they can reach full growth potential.

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog...
