Well Friday is over. Wow! I sure got a lot out of it. I am so blessed and tired. It was great to have parents come in and tell me their kids had so much fun. One of the girls asked if I had a son. I told her yes. She asked if the Nerf machine gun was his. I told her no it was mine. She told me that her dad would never have toys like that. It gave me a chance to tell her to be glad that she has a dad. There are so many homes today with no man example.I even helped the kids in a youth pastor's class. He was having a hard time with the out of control boys. They were a real hand full. I was that kid so I have no problem relating. So many of the staff grew up in sheltered homes. Now there is nothing wrong with that. But they can't understand the kid that comes from a less than desirable home. But even some of the pastors told me I did a good job. I just came as who I am with no goal except to serve the Lord with all that I am. I know some of the staff did not like my methods but I came to serve the Lord by making kids happy. I cleaned up most of my messes.

I would tell any of you guys going to church to offer your help to VBS. Even if you can't help all week there is so much prep work and behind the scenes stuff to do. Then some crazy guy (or girl) can come in shooting the kids with Supersoakers, Nerf machine guns, and giving all the kids very loud horns. (I am sure the parents were real happy about the horns the kids got Grin)

I feel so Blessed just thinking about the smiles. Now I am going to take a nap!
