Tmatt were  any of those blue dogs out of proven catchdogs? Were any of those dogs bred out game dogs? The blue coat color is a recessive gene out of black seal and fawn to buck skin colored dogs! I could take a black seal gyp breed it to a fawn or buckskin male line breed that line of dogs. I may end up with a blue pup first breeding or a may end up with fawn blue pups buckskin pups with blue noses and blue tear drop eyes.line Breed any variation of these back into ur black seal sire or dam and ur gonna end up with a blue pup sooner or later. This is how i ended up with my shamus dog. Took 5 years of line breeding out of hamond stock crossed with some avant bred dogs. he has plenty gameness and drive with all the bite i desire. His sire grand sire dam and grand dam all had these traits. If u want a blue american pitbull terrier that has plenty of game and has a hard bite do ur home work breed for specific genes and traits and u can get the look with performance. My most trusted catchdog is blue and wouldnt trade him or sale him at any price. If its a blue dog u wanna try give it a whirl. I can promise for every blue dog that didnt make the cut there was a red rednose  black brindle white colby bred dog that didnt make the cut either.
