How do you think Parvo got on your yard?

- we had some one give us a pup that I believe had it.

How were the dogs kept? ( on chains, in kennels, concrete floor, dirt floor, etc. )
- concrete floors and loose in the yard.

Where the dogs/pups that got Parvo first up to date on shots?
- yes, some were dosed and sick within hours which led me to quit giving shots

If any other dogs got Parvo, were they also up to date on shots?
-  all young dogs were UTD on shots, we haven't had an older dog contract it (knock on wood).

Whats the oldest dog you've had to get Parvo?
- 4.5 months

Have you had any new litters or new dogs come on the yard afterwards that got Parvo?
-yes, those born on the property and some give to us.  They are kept in bleached pens until 4.5 / 5 months when they get their shot and kept for 2 more weeks....we havent lost one since doing it this way.

I believe we lost one a few years back to Corona, she was fine in the morning and then on her way out that evening....cold to the touch, gummy spit and lathargic.  Her sister became sick days later but I had already started her on Pepto / Aloe and B12 plus I took her to the vet to have tested (which was negative) but they gave me some antibiotics and anti-throw up meds and she never got real sick.

A hunting partner of my husbands puppy just tested positive for Parvo yesterday, we took him hunting Saturday night and was sick yesterday....this puppy has had all shots as the guy he bought it from is a stickler for them.....I want to say the pup is 6 months or so old and dont know where it could have come from.

Thats some nasty nasty stuff!
