They replaced the ball joint and it did not do that before. Then they made a mistake and want you to pay for it. I would go to another shop and get them to look at it and put it in writing. If it was a mistake made by the first shop you have a choice. Either let the first shop fix their own mistake and buy you a new tire or get it done somewhere else and send them the bill and if they don't pay take them to small claims court. Small claims court is very easy. Just Google it. If you can't find it let me know and I will find a link to instructions. But it could be unrelated. But I would want a neutral party to look at it and decide. Plus the courts trust the opinion of a neutral third party the most. I also don't like to blame someone for something they did not do.

It is amazing to me when we take a vehicle to the shop for one problem and it leaves with a different problem and then they try to convince us it wasn't caused by them (the shop).
