I thought this was a Yeller dog rally point. To root out all non believers and skeptics.

Ok I have had my fun now to getting serious with this thread.
I will have to agree with the founding post in some manner. I do truthfully believe that most of the Yeller strains are being watered down considerably. Same as a decade or so ago. Hog hunting and bay penning blew up and got huge. Everyone in my little town that had a tree or fence post had a yellerdog tied to it. Everyone started breeding anything they could and completly diluted the old lines that alot had came from. When the pens started catching hell all the tourists sold out and flooded the market with crossed up yellowish junk. Unfourtunatly that still holds true today as the majority of the dogs being handled. Very few individuals weathered the storm sort of speaking by keeping their lines or others long term lines straight.
Marketing I believe has also hurt the line holders reputation and in some ways given a bad taste in alot of folks mouths. But I completely respect their god given right to do so. They only get that big money because SOMEBODY pays it. Sorry folks but I can't be mad at the breeder for that its just plain ole good business.
So in hind sight I regretfully agree that the jest of all popular breeds not just my preferred Yeller dogs have suffured from dilution of the breed and improper breeding decisions along with the true hard hearted if you will art of CULLING what don't work.
