 Our 06 dodge diesel did exactly the same thing last year. We were thinking that maybe we needed a new compressor or something. One day James (my husband) decided to wash the fins out. First he sprayed them down with water then he squirted some dawn dish soap into them and pushed it in with the waterhose. He let it sit for about 10 or 15 minutes and when he hosed it out again, he said that it looked like mud running out. So he repeated the process a couple of times. After that the a/c started working normal again.

 This may not fix your problem but its an easy and cheap thing to try first.
