I use as little light as possible until the pig is caught. And even then I might not turn one on. I know it pushes pigs hard and will break the bay a lot. only bad thing I've experienced with not using lights is I crawled all the way to a bay with no lights and legged the hog. Once my buddy got there and stuck it i started to feel stinging all over. They turned on the lights and I was covered in yellow jackets. Not a fun ending but hey I Ddnt break the bay Grin

If you are going to use one I recommend a small led made by brinkman. Takes the 123 batteries is light and as bright as my surfire for a 1/4 of the price

I have had a few yellow jackets chase me but have been lucky so far...what worries me is what if I or some else stumbles over a killer bee hive?


I am surprised that no one on ETHD's have said anything about near misses with the african bees.
