Just today I said I was a missionary and the place I go to save people is church. It is the staff that needs the help. I work so hard to reach them. I tell anybody that I found God in a cow pasture. I found judgmental hypocrites in church and figured they needed saving. When I need time with God I prefer to avoid people.

But what did Jesus say? Matthew 6:5 “And when you pray, do not be like the hypocrites, for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and on the street corners to be seen by men. I tell you the truth, they have received their reward in full. 6 But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words. 8 Do not be like them, for your Father knows what you need before you ask him.

If you want to find God go away from people and pray. I like to pray in the shower. It is the only place I don't hear the kids. There is no place you can't find God. But you need to be doing it for you not for people to see how good you are. Good people don't go to heaven saved people do. Three crosses two people went to heaven.
