To the best of my knowledge the only dog that placed that has not ran in this pen at some time prior to the CHDA bay here is J Cross' Checkers... NOBODY gets to bay the hogs used for a month before the bay. Lew actually got to see some of the hogs on Wed. night when Carey and I bayed through them to let Autry make his final decision on what hogs he was going to use to make sure that ya'll got an even set of hogs. We bayed about 16 head of hogs and only 6 were used. Even I didn't know what set he was going to use until he told me which ones to cut out of which pen about 30 min. before the bay started. Travis got to bay here the week before the bay but he was fixing a problem area on his dog, he had gotten to rough and wanted to catch everything. Most people don't want to bay the hogs he bayed unless they have too. Also Travis didn't run in the competition, he did run after it was over on one of the hogs that was used so Tori could see that the problem his dog had had was resolved...
