Ya I love it aint no doubt about that I do love it but I think Am about ready to just cut all this down to my best four - five dogs and a bulldog and call it good.  Tired of having 12-18 dogs yr in and yr out and a liter are two a year are so.  I can't even remember how long that has been going on over 20 years I would say.  It was all good when my boys were home and could help out they have all gone their on ways now and have their on families now and its turn into a damn chore for one man to do all of that.  I been spending  atleast 250.00 - 300.00 bucks a month on dog food since I can remember.  Back in the good ole days we were buying it by the ton when I had my bulldogs 600.00 a month was a good month.  Always have loved a great athletic hunting dog and what I loved more than that was to breed my own but bout ready to give all that up and just enjoy the hunts and my dogs.  Its been a long time coming.

just don't get rid of all the dogs like I did in 07...I decided to get back in and my first pit was a looker but a cull. second one will make a good one.

my first 2 female mtn curs did not take twice in a row and today the older female I got from a friend is having trouble having pups... lost sleep today going to vet and here it is 9 pm and fixing to go home from work to see what I can do for her...only one pup in 8 hrs and the vet said if no more pups have her at the office for a C section at 8 am...Cost me 75 dollars today and no telling how much in the morning when I get off of work...

back in the early 80's it was slow getting started finding good dogs and here it is late 2011 and am having a few obstacles to overcome...I do have 2 prospects but am counting on a few good pups to select from and train...

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog...
A hunting dog is born not made...
