The "1" turned very early. I actually got rid of my grown rooster when he turned because I wanted the stags running loose, and I knew the stags came from much better stock. I had 11 stags out of 25 straight run chicks that I had flown in. I just like to keep a rooster and 6-8 hens around the kennels. I shipped several quality hens in from around the country. I hatched a pile, but gave the chicks i had hatched away once I started thinking about it. I kept culling down until I was left with these 2. I only kept the #3 because I feared something may get the # 1. We have many critters around here. I kept a total of 6 hens/pullets.
