JMO here..I've had more than one dog exactly like yours. The older and more expierenced I get, the more I can't deal with a skiddish (shy) dog. When I first started, I was patient and I wanted to give everydog a fair shot. Some came around, but most didn't. Animals are going to be animals and some of them just have a shy nature around humans. I dont know you and I dont know the dog but I know that at this point in my hunting career I would not take or own a shy dog. There are a lot of times when I need my dogs to load up and load up now. I could go on forever about this subject becuase I've dealt with it a lot and I have even started threads about this same topic before.
MAN x100 when i need to go its time to go. There is nothing more aggravating when im tryin to load up dogs and i have to case one around!
The best thing i can say is if you think the dogs worth it then keep working em but after a while theres really not much else.
.
Luckly my dog came around but if he hadnt then IDK what would of happened
