I was about out of dogging earlier this year, but didn't sell out for this exact reason. I sent my best dog to a friend to be hunted, but retained ownership. Now that I feel like hunting some more, I have her back at the house. She is no superstar, but would be hard for me to replace.

Ive only got three hog dogs now, but feel I have as good a shot at catching big bad now, as I did when I had ten or twelve dogs.


Something I keep in mind though, hog dogging is a hobby for me, I don't need it to care for my family. So if it was to ever get in the way, I wouldn't think twice about selling out.

Used to be a guy on here that talked about his dogs coming down the line from his grandfather, and that the line meant more to him than his own wife and kids....  Talk about some f'ed up priorities....
