well, if money is a priority, you might want to consider your trade as well as your wife's...Then find a town where you can find decent jobs that has lots of hog hunting around which most places in Texas has the hogs...
Victoria, Texas, is not a bad place... City is not too big and you would be close to some big Chemical plants, not too far from Corpus Christ, San Antonio, Austin and Houston is 125 miles away...Plus you are close enough to the Hill country and a skip and a hop from South Texas which is full of all kinds of game and big deer...You can probably hunt in any direction from Victoria but then there are lots of places like that in Texas...Good luck
