Bob,those dogs are close to medium range if working ground sign or tracks, but if they wind a hog they may bay him a mile down the road so i would say exceptional noses in the wind and mildly hot on the ground. They weigh about 85-90 pounds and stay in hunting condition year round. They are rough even though both have been cut a lot,if they are baying its a group or a boar over 300,anything else is caught much to the bulldogs dismay. On the watchdog side you couldnt ask for more,if bills old dog cooney is roaming around the house you best stay in the truck till bill comes out,if you raise one of these pups with a small child they will protect them forever and i know bill encourages that in his line but they are not people aggressive out of their own territory, nor are they dog aggressive. The females out of this line are also big and make tremendous house and watchdogs and all of them are working cattle dogs so the handle on them is through the roof, just all round great dogs to have around, jimmy.
