I worked on 5 different TDC units and can tell you those dogs are beautiful but culls,if you check there has never in this states history been an escaped inmate caught by a TDC hound. We had an escape on the Hightower unit in Dayton when I worked there in 99 and the dogs were trying to attack the officers that had the prison surrounded, the dogs ran right past where the inmate was hiding several times. The only reason he was caught is because a field boss on a horse spotted him.

See what I tried to you guys, the state of texas  lately has never caught an escapee with there dogs, that makes them a strain of completely useless culls bred to eat an crap thats it!!!!!!

All of the convicts know this too, all they have to do is run to the brush on our creek and thru about 5 fences, no guard on a horse or dragging a 20 foot trailer full of barking hounds is going to track them, i think we have had 4 get over the wire next to my camphouse, its a joke in Texas for sure like I saidLOL  U got to practice live escapes in all kinds of conditions every day and have the right equiptment especially a linebred dog from proven mantrailers and catchers!!!  Nuff Said!!  If you can not use live inmates might as well give away all of the dogs becuase they are worthlesslol  By the way, i have found 3 old timers who wandered next to a nursing home at night and one dead body underwater in the Rio Grande river at Quemando Texas with 1 terrier and 2 black mouth curs from Lavon Davis/Bill Don Blevins strain i had going at one time, you got to have a smart easy to handle dog for that kind of work, its not brain doctor work for sure!!!lol
