No they dont cross with hogs we have tons of them where we are at west texas the are not part of the hog/pig family they are part of the pickery family as in a porcupine family they will team up and kill a dog so all i have to say if u arent used to them and your hunting in places they are then my advice to you is get to your dogs fast and also you will know because a javelina will have much more endurance tHAN a hog and will go much further and u will be chasing your dogs for more than likely miles but good luck hope you guys are succesfull
