Mule tape. I leave my pieces long and use them for tying hogs feet, tying hogs to the ATV/UTV, back up dog leads, and anything else I need. I know peeople that just use rope from tractor supply. But I got a bunch of mule tape free just by asking a crew. I have never used a hoble.
