As kids, my mom raised Artic Wolves crossed with German Sheppards. One of the line bred gyps was a mole hunting / catching heifer.
They are very different personality wise, we used to run and play with ours but they were weird about strangers...I remember them having a predatory side to them but it was always something that we couldn't fault them for.
I remember once coming home with my dad from hauling some calves my mom called in tears that they had caught some dobied calves I was raising....they were alos he!! on guineas
and you know how impossible it is to catch a guinea!
I know since we had them they changed the laws on owning them and I think it can only be a small percentage.....back then the malamute's were 'popular' as crosses with them.
