My experience here lately is this, if we see the hogs before dumping the box we get outrun 9 out of 10 times it seems especially if the hogs know they have been seen.
Always heard this from the old timers and I agree! Whenever we see incidental hogs while hunting we almost NEVER catch that hog.. Even seen it with groups of hogs. I'm sure it differs from area to area, I can see it being much easier in open country to do
We have caught several that we have seen in pastures before dumping the dogs, but not near as many that we've seen in the woods...
