U can give it to adult dogs that are positive for heartworms n after a year they will b heartworm free. Proven.

I've been searching for documented proof of what you just mentioned for years of which I have found absolutely none.  Can you point me in the direction of the data you are referring to?

I can elaborating on this, when you give ivomec to an heartworm positive dog they will test beg for them but they still have them. It just makes them sterile so the eggs don't show up in the test. And in theory the heartworms will eventually die, but you risk the heartworms breaking apart and causing a blockage and death of an active dog. I wouldn't try it.

That's why I say to do your research, yes people may have been doing it this way and that way for years, but unrolled I hear it from a vet, I'm not convinced.
