i hunted alone for a long time getting older now i try and have help . but when i was alone i would allways carry a kid rope with me for the big hogs . they is hell to throw buy your self  Grin  and i would rope the back leg and if possble put the other end over a limb and keep working that back leg up till i'd have it up in the air good then i'd tie the dog back and procede to getting the hog tied at a slower pace . it's hell of alot of work on the big ones when you're alone . got in to more wrecks than i care to remember . stickin em or shooting em would be alot easyer [sometimes]  just be very careful and allways let someone know where you're going and be damn shure you got dogs you trust with your life .
