That top one had 18 and had lost a lot. I think he was a very old snake. You can tell when they are all the same size that it has stopped growing. When you find one with tapered rattles he's still growing. Alot of people say they have so many rattles and a button but very few snakes still have the button. The button is their first rattle that they are born with and it's round.
