I am not at all a hog dog trainer. I have been looking to start running some dogs. I look at posts and it may go something like this. Started dog will do Blah, has done Blah, may have found Blah. WILL SHOW IN BAY PEN. This last statment worries me, why not in the woods(which is where I plan to hunt the dog)?
Second one goes have a dog has found plenty hogs, will go to bay, hunts med to long range, honors dogs will not fight dogs or people, handles great, really don't want to get rid of it but need to cut back. BLAH BLAH BLAH, WILL CONSIDER TRADE FOR CATCH DOG, OR STRIKE DOG. I THOUGHT YOU WERE CUTTING BACK? This worries me. I see alot of red flags sometimes. This is what I think noone is gonna sell their best dog, or even a really good dog, what I see is SOME, NOT ALL not telling the whole story. wonder what to do?
I dont have time to train!   I am selling this one, or will trade for one that is as good or better, but I can promise you "he, she" will make a great dog.  Only intrested in started dogs under a year old.     Or my favorite one "younger hunter needing help starting my pack"  (two weeks later, wanting to sell, or trade, just cannot afford to feed, or need money for the hollidays, please help.)  I'm not trying to call anyone out, I just dont understand!   Hunting dogs dont grow on trees, you cannot get the ones you want tomorrow!  (Its that simple)  If they are are culls, cull them.... dont try to pawn culls off on someone else!  I think most REAL DOG MEN will tell you no matter how strong of line you have, or how good so & so dog is there will be a few culls!  (could be wrong, just my opp)    I also believe as a hunter it is my responsibility as a want to be hunter,  to take care of the culls my self!
