havin a place on the water would definitely be worth it. today, and lots of times I wonder if i should have kept looking till i found the place i wanted on Lake Livingston.
one thing you may want to consider is the water conditions of the place if you plan on eating fish out of it.
http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/regulations/fish_hunt/fish/consumption_bans.phtmlI have had people get seriously pissed off and hate me for telling them that rayburn was contaminated. i also know someone who died of blood cancer who ate tons of fish from rayburn, toledo bend, and the gulf coast.
dam b, TB, and SR are all contaminated. so is the neches river. then again lots of stuff is contaminated these days including vegetables at the grocery store that are fertilized with toxic industrial waste. we are all gonna die, but i imagine i'm gonna be around a while so i'ma try and stay as whole as possible.
is still want a place with access to lake livingston. maybe this year big things will happen.
