Not if it is underground....run your chain through it and back to its self, dig a hole with post hole diggers about a foot deep and drop in block with chain running out the top....works great and the price is good.

Naaa, you put a good heavy big swivel at the collar and if you really want you can put another up the chain a foot or so out of the ground if you want.
