Clay is right on. If your dog has the drive to chase then he has the drive to hunt. It might take more work than other dogs but can be done. You can't give a young dog alot of rein. Keep them close and make 100% sure that he is on a hog before you let him run, even if you have to bust the hogs out of the brush for him. Your hard work will pay off over time and you will have a dog that can be trusted not to trash. This is much better than trash breaking a young dog and risk loosing his drive to hunt. JMO
