I don't really agree with that idea. I give my pups alot of rein. I want to raise bold dogs with a ton of drive. A bay dogs job is to bay things, and he should noy be afraid to bay or run a track. Are they going to trash, you bet. But if you have any kind of handle on your pup you can let him know what is good to run and what is not good to run and he will figure it out real quick. I have never and will never use a shock collar. You need to get a pup broke to mind you, and please you. It works better than burning their neck out of the blue and calling that training. I can use my dogs on hogs or cattle and just tell them to leave one or the other alone and they will because they will work what I ask them to. Handle is the key to training, bold dogs that are not scared to make a mistake will hunt harder IMO.
