The best thing for those Texas summers is to control the feed and fat in winter lean in summer. Florida is hot and on that white sand oak scrub it's hotter. A dog needs to learn and pace itself. It's like the hare and the tortoise. Hogs a hoofin and the dog is at a steady pace and when the time comes he shuts the hog down. Let the dogs out everyday so they don't get kennel stir crazy. So when you take emm to hunt they don't exert all of their energy on the first run. Some dogs just have that stamina at birth and that's awesome but some you got to train.
