Im not sure if anyone outhere in hog hunting land knows this but Curs and Hounds arent the only dogs that can find a hog. Almost any dog with a functional nose can find a hog. Your looking for a hot sent anyway right. Any dog with anykind of natural hunt can find a hog. So the two things your looking for are Hunt and Hardness. Hardness youll find in any of the bull breeds. Ill list as many as I can think of that I kow for a fact find catch pigs....
Mastiffs
pure pits
pit/cur crosses
BMC's
Catahoulas
Ab's
Dogos
Great dane
Great dane crosses
pit/danes
ALL THE HAIRY DOGS...
staghounds
irish deerhounds
irish wolfhounds
boxers.....kind of iffy on them based on their muzzle type
German short haired pointer...very good, used alot in australia
labs
All you need is hunt and hardness. Size is a factor as well when it comes to hog size. My main dog is a Pit/cur thats 70lbs 24" tall and will lug on any hog any size. However if he cant keep his front feet on the ground he cant stop them so I usually run him with another dog for backup.
