I bought an 80 model toyota hilux ( pickup ) 4x4, GREAT mileage like 24-25 mpg day in day out , tuff as nails, goes anywhere, runs forever $500.00 truck love it. Try your local craigslist, 79-83 are your best best, cheap and easy to work on, solid axle, geared T-case, manual trans, anyway I've went on enough but they got my vote, infact I am alway looking for another and own 2 right now
