That my opinon as well 3 yr plus or so before they learn all the tricks of the trade and have the maturity to be called finished. Just hunting doesnt mean finished. Finished means every aspect of hunting not just finding them
Yep and I think a finished dog will continue to improve as well. I compare hunting dogs to athletes. To me a started dog elevating to a finished dog is like amateur turning pro. Once they turn pro they still improve in their abilities and talents ( or they're supposed to
