Dude, the
straight
yellow dog lines will only produce yellow pups. Certain yeller lines will produce an occassional black and tan pup, about 1 in 200 pups. Same thing with a straight red cur dog line. If the line has been crossed with brindles or blacks, then there is no telling what color you will get. Random gene selection. "No blacks in the straight yeller dogs."
