[Hog Dog Mike]

I used to guide quail hunts on the King ranch. Just about all the dogs we had for the camp were pointers. There were lots of hogs on that place back in them days. The pointers pointed hogs all the time. We lost a dog or two to hogs as well as javelina.

Pointers are tough dogs and can run in the heat. I know lots of the squirrel dog boys are crossing fiests to bird dogs for the speed.
