Guess the newer style dogs everybody is referring to are probably the foundation dogs since they are so mainstream these days. Most of them come smaller famed in the 50lbs and under range. The old dog above was around 80lbs and up when younger the pups are around 70 lbs. Camera angll might be lil misleading but they have all been put on the scales.

Downfalls I have delt with on the 100lb plus or minus dogs is stamina and range.
they are just like a heavyweight fighter, winded easily and once the stamina is gone they are completely done.
But again they usually make up for it with agression and the size to back it up.
