Purely on a numbers basis, I would be interested to see a simpified spending budget(a pie if you would
) on how much our gov't spends on "social safety nets" vs. other ventures... i.e. various wars, infrastructure, intelligence, security, military.... etc...
As much as the "social safety net" issue aggrevates me, it is probably because I am forced to deal with it on a daily basis... and not solely responsible for our government's demise...
Moreover, spending on a whole... the afformentioned only illustrates a theme of all structures that we might not even be privy to.
I cant remember the numbers.... but I believe if we only fund the military and medicare/ medicade.... we are over budget. The military is a little over half.
