Iv traveled through asia, europe and the middle east, from kuwait, quatar, iraq, afghanistan, pakistan, dubia, saudi, germany, holland, england, ireland, bosnia, japan, korea, tiwan, thiland, guam, the phillipenes and wow, a lot spoke broken english. A lot has changed since the 80s. English was reconized as the international language in the late 90s early 2000. More countries speak english as a sec language than any other language. I just got my passport n already hav 4 pages full n on #5 now, so yes u have travled the world, but as u said, a kid n in the mid 80s, that nearly 20yrs past. A lot changes in 20yrs
