Charles - Sense when does the U.S. Government abide by rules set by sovereign nations, ever been in NdN country lol. They would quickly and quietly set unfair trade rules against Texas, use there power to keep other countries from trading with Texas, shut off your ability to sell Texas oil to anyone there by shutting down the main stay of your new and very fragile economy, place tariffs on your goods if they do act kind and allow good's leave your new country. Your state does not have a large enough stock of organic seeds to farm for any real period of time due to the wave of hybrid produce which we all eat, it's seed's are not fertile. You will not be able to grow nearly enough food with your huge cites full of hungry and now very angry people who may not share your devotion to nationality and as any 3rd world country has show when the food run's out the cause dies very quickly. With no food and no economy moving homes owned by out of state mortgage companies will want to forclose, your new country will not want to honor the contract's . They will use the power in washington and deem your new country as hostile to the well being of the United States due to the chaos that at that time will be full scale on several levels, once deemed a threat troops will move into Texas, a new Federal Governmental leader will be set as head of Texas. your new Texas currenecy that never had any value to begin with other countries due to the lack of gold to back it will be worth even less and all state land will now be owned by the federal government and Texas will be worse off then when you started. But hell I've been wrong before , give'er a try.
