Let's just say...... Someone won Uncle Earls with a CAT/BMC cross. Then someone started dominating the hunting tournaments w/ CAT/BMC crosses. Would opinions change of each breed or would you still have the endless debate? I think it would be "They won cause the dog/dogs were half yella!" or vice versa. Tell me I'm wrong.

neither of these breeds nor a 50/50 of these 2 would impress me even if they won at uncle earls...unless the winner comes from a long line of excellent hunting dogs...

Rueben, I believe I understand exactly what your saying. Please expand on what you meant by neither of these two breeds... I believe you are probably of the same school of thoughts as I in that I also believe the majority of all dogs intended to be hog dogs aren't , well never mind. I wanna hear your thoughts.

I'll just give you one reason...I have seen too many awesome bay pen dogs that can't trail, wind, or find a hog in the woods...

Training dogs is not about quantity, it's more about timing, the right situations, and proper guidance...After that it's up to the dog...
A hunting dog is born not made...
