gw help put this country on the road to destruction, spliting our forces on 2 fronts, stretching our resources. his war was a gain for his office. he used terror by the american people for a call to war. he inacted a law that puts americans in far away prisons without a fair trial and due process which is against our constitutional rights. should we side with that kind of tyranny?
I agree. We, the people, lost more of our constitutional rights and protections under W than we have at any time in the history of the country. Maybe, in light of the threat of terrorism, it was a necessary evil, but then maybe it wasn't.
He wrapped it in patriotism and whether it was tyranny or not, we tolerated it. I suspect, we will continue to tolerate it. Balancing our rights to privacy and the government's responsibility to protect us is a very complex topic.
