kamrin said it was distimper. i guess i need to hit all my dogs with the distimper vaccine just incase
That sucks. Distemper is part of the 7-way shots. One thing some people don't think about is temperature. If my feedstore does not get it shipped cold, and stored cold i won't buy them. I also take a cooler with me when i get them and i only live 6 miles from the feed store and they go right in the fridge. If the shots get warm they are not effective and a waste of money. anything can happen until the 3rd shot with extreme circumstances. I had a bout with parvo 17 years ago and the vet told me to start at 5 weeks and go with 4 total shots. That with bleaching my feet and hands before i enter my pen to handle young pup's and weekly bleaching of the pen i have never had another sick pup. Just worms and the norm. Mine don't even touch the ground until the 2nd shot. Maybe overkill but i have had ALOT of puppies since over the years and knock on wood have only lost some to mother nature and mom laying on one, Never from being sick.  Tell your friend good luck with future pup's and i hope everyone's info helps. I see alot of knowledge on this site. Lee
