a good pit is hard to beat...but they are getting harder to find..used to be most pits picked up from the pound would work...
but I wonder how most boxers would do going one on one with a big boar...I have seen a boxer in a dog fight against 3 dogs and he locked on the biggest dog and before too long that dog was about to poop all over itself...
I was a little kid but it was pretty impressive...
Some boxers will hunt...
A friend of mine had a 1/2 bmc 1/2 boxer that won many baying contests...she also was one heck of a hunting dog...didn't have much nose but with her range and drive she could produce the pork...
