Agree with PLP.

Dont freeze em till your sure they are gonna stay.

To apply the hair dye. Make a brand out of sucker rod or wood. The. Just pour the hair dye gel in a plastic plate. Spread evenly and dip the brand into it. Then just stick it directly to the area you want the brand on.

A tip is do it on a good sunny day and keep dog leashed alone and standing until it dries or they will lay down or rub against others before it dries. Usually will last from 3 to 6 months under normal hunting conditions.
