Depends on the area you are fishing.
I have friends that dont put weights on their noodles. They have one hook per and they throw them out up wind of points and float them across. Do really well
Others like extremely long lines and fish the sides of underwater river beds.
I like sheltered coves, preferably with small creek feeding into back of them. I just run a big U pattern and sit at the mouth waiting for the fun to start. I let the kidos run the trolling motor to chase the noodles down when they begin to run.
You will throw your rods away after getting into a good school of blues.
