I just got a 2001 Dodge 2500 4x4 for a pretty good price. It has 350,000 miles and the trans has not been rebuilt. So I am thinking I better get it rebuilt when I have the time and money. Who has had one rebuilt and about how much should I expect to spend. I am also expecting front end work. Are there problems with it and is there another front end I can swap in or something else I can do to prevent problems before I get stuck in the woods or on the side of the road? I have to keep it running.
