Chance I guess you are gonna have to explain that when forming a union there are some risks. Like the company using strong arm tactics to bust up the union. Plus they could just bring in outside labor. My oldest did not think he was getting enough allowance. So I fired him. I started doing his chores which he thought was great but then Friday rolled around and he asked for his allowance and I told him that he had been laid off and he would have to re-apply but the current job offer paid less than he had been paid before but I was sure a hard worker might be able to get pack up to his old pay in about six months.

He was begging to his own chores a week later. I bet a round of layoffs because the union was to difficult to work with might change some thinking. Like the Budweiser delivery drivers went on strike in St Louis. A year or so later the union and Anheuser Busch came to agreement so the strike ended. Anheuser Busch told them they could go back to work when there were job openings.
