I have 6 of the little Nazi dirt piranhas on my yard now. We started by using one as a check dog. And it's grown from there. I've had some success using an e collar to keep them from catching but they still bay close and can cause the bay to break. They are normally the pits to trash break. They were bred up to be versatile terriers for German hunters where they use them for flushing, retrieving, and ground work. The ground work is where the trashing comes in. They think nothing of digging down and chewing the tail off of an armadillo. LOL. To get the Grand Champion in Germany they have to kill a badger and drag it out of the hole.!! Gritty gritty little dogs with tons of heart. I've got a direct import that wouldnt get away from me in the woods so I've got him retrieving. In short take the advise of the previous post and send them in on a solid bay from increasing distances. As far as tracking I use my 220 to locate the hog track ( based on other dog track) where they cross a road or levee. Dump em out and watch em work. Post some pics if u got em.
