 We have both types of dogs. Since its been brought up quite a bit lately, let me say that our bmc's are not FULL BLOOD.    Ok, back to the topic.
 
 We have both types of dogs and we hunt the cur dogs mostly and leave the cat at home because we hunt a large area and our cat is short range and we like long range dogs. This isn't the case with all catahoulas, but I hear the same story from a lot of cat owners. Short range and very rough. We do use him in certain situations though. Hope this helps.
