I've had limited experience with them but here are my good vs. Bads

Good:
Smart
Fast
Strong
Better lung than a pit
Hard hitting

Bad:

Too dang expensive a dog to buy as a pup that may or may not turn out.(for me anyway)

Some are dog agressive

They are twice the size of an average pitt, hard to carry on a 4wheeler

Skin/hearing problems associated with some lines

Some, NOT all have the tendency to fight a hog more so than catch it.
